The most senior one on the team — dark circles deeper than anyone else's, faintly smudged with exhaustion — but always wearing that standard, fixed-angle professional smile, worn almost like an occupational habit. No stars in those eyes, no soft glow either, and the eyes are opened wider than an ordinary tired look — not drooping and vacant, but "straining hard not to let it show."

The real exhaustion only starts after the meeting ends and the lights go down, but no one ever sees that part. Nearby: a cup of black coffee that never quite empties, and a meeting folder half-open and covered in notes. Every so often, one paw props up TA's chin — the tell for the moment it takes the most effort to keep that smile on.
