A newcomer fresh out of the shell, eyes packed with tiny, restless stars, walking around with a constant "I've got this" energy. Japanese has a word for it — "hiyoko-shain" (chick employee) — used for new hires who don't quite know what they're doing yet but are eager to try everything anyway. Hiyoko-chan is that word, given a face.
Reality hasn't worn down the edges yet — every résumé feels like the one that'll land an offer, and even late nights get called "good experience" with a smile. It's a little heartbreaking to watch from the outside, but that naive, wholehearted energy is contagious too — after all, everyone was Hiyoko-chan once.
